I've always known I was bound to start my own technology company at some point. I wasn't sure what exactly it would be, what the services would be that I offer and how I would start it.
Then Joey happened.
Joey is the brainchild of my cousin, Johandri Buckle. At the time of this writing, the focus is on baby/kids fashion and interior accessories. The name 'Joey' comes from our beloved grandmother who, sadly, passed away in 2015. She was a phenomenal woman and even in her last moments, her family meant everything to her.
Johandri explained to me the ridiculous amounts she was being quoted for putting together a simple web page, registering a domain name and hosting that page. She wanted to focus on her business and not worry about getting things like domain names, web hosting, e-commerce and e-mail sorted out.
What's more, she's not the only one. There are 100's of people out there who just need to run a business but they don't have the time for technology. To them, technology should be an enabler, not a stumbling block.
